Lifesize hyperrealism mixed media sculpture of a girl peering through a mirror to the other side. A gateway in concept, and a metaphor for the dawning of knowledge.

It is made from silicone, hair, acrylic, pigments, aluminium and wood. The head was sculpted in oil based clay before being moulded and cast in platinum silicone and painted. Hair was implanted and eyes made from acrylics. The mirror part was then made from formed aluminium and polished, before being set in the wooden mirror frame.
