After the idea was worked out in 2D, this mixed media sculpture was started by sculpting the head in water based clay. It was then moulded and cast in silicone, along with the hand. They were then painted in a number of washes in more silicone to simulate real skin.

Custom eyes were made, and hair implanted into her scalp, eye brows and lashes, one human hair at a time.

The headdress was then fashioned from oil based clay around a fibreglass copy of the head sculpture. Once happy, it was moulded and cast in epoxy, carbon fibre and steel for strength. It then had a chrome finish applied, before being overcoated in a clear blue/purple coat.

This was then bonded to an aluminium base, and the whole thing assembled.

It stands 95cm tall
