"Sylvester Stallone"

 

This Portrait of Sly Stallone was made to top off a Judge Dredd mannequin for a collector.

It was started by gathering as many photos I could get of Sylvester in a similar pose/expression and an armature made.

The clay was then thrown on and shaped to him roughly, then honed in over a few weeks until it looked closely to him.When the sculpture part was finished it was sealed and moulded in silicone rubber and fibreglass.

The resulting casting was painted in several layers to achieve a depth to the skin tones and the hair painted a couple of shades of dark brown before custom made eyes were inserted.
